Offering the latest in high-performance processing, Concurrent Technologies' new CompactPCI single-board computers (SBCs) feature the low-power, dual-core processors from Intel: the 1.66GHz Intel Core Duo L2400 processor and the higher-performance 2.0GHz Intel Core Duo T2500 processor.

The RoHS-compliant PP 410/03x family members can access up to 4GB of DDR2-400 ECC SDRAM at up to 6.4GB/s. For I/O flexibility, two high-performance PMC sites support both front and rear I/O, three Gigabit Ethernet interfaces, PICMG 2.16 (Ethernet fabric), PICMG 2.9 (IPMI), and PICMG 2.1 (hot swap).

The PP 410/03x family can operate as a system controller board, a peripheral board, or as a satellite board (blade). This combination of high-performance data processing and a wealth of I/O target the boards for intensive data-processing applications within the telecom, defence, security, telemetry, scientific, and aerospace markets. Extended temperature variants are also available.

Each board supports the 2.0GHz Intel Core Duo T2500 (in a socket) or the 1.66GHz Intel Core Duo L2400 processor (soldered); both processors support 2MB of L2 cache (shared between the cores). By using appropriate operating systems and applications software, computing performance can increase up to twice that of an Intel Pentium M processor. And, still, the Intel Thermal Design Power (TDP) for the 2.0GHz dual core processor is 31W versus 27W TDP for the 2.0GHz Intel Pentium M processor 760. The Intel E7520 server class chip set and Intel 6300ESB ICH are used to complement the processor to achieve a high-performance, yet low power, core architecture.
