Electronic Design European Digital Edition
Time-to-market pressures always have designers scrambling for the best solutions, and sometimes it comes down to whether it's better to make or buy a part of a system. Our cover story focuses on the elements that create this scenario. Power Design highlights the career of International Rectifier founder Eric Lidow, who is retiring after a long and distinguished career in electronics. Multicore SoC design software is the focus of our Technology article, while Application discusses the implementation of an ARV controller in a single SoC. Also, Editor-in-Chief Paul Whytock muses on a groundbreaking medical advance.

EDITORIAL
Surfing Security And The ISP Invasion
In the last edition, I ranted about how Internet users are being subjected to unauthorised examination of the Web sites they visit by Internet Service Providers (ISPs).
